What is Perpetuum?

Perpetuum is a sci-fi MMORPG. Its setting is a far away planet inhabited by robots. You can find out more about the game here, and about the background story here.

What is an MMORPG?

MMORPG is an abbreviation. It means Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. In games as such thousands of players can be simultaneously involved in the action. A unique feature of Perpetuum is that while most other MMORPGs run multiple parallel servers, we have only one persistent, single universe.

What is Perpetuum about?

In the not-too-distant future, a strange anomaly opens the gates of the universe for humans. With this new technology energy, information and atomic size objects can be transported to anywhere in space.

The most intriguing of all new discoveries is an Earth-like planet, where humanity discovers a new source of energy, vital to its unbroken advancement. However, this planet is inhabited by a synthetic, robot-like life form. Their technology and resources are the goal of humanity's new conquest.

Players may take part in various areas of the project. They may fight against various enemy robots, complete assignments on behalf of the Perpetuum project, do various industrial activities, trade goods or services, or even set their own goals and set up their own corporations.

Is the game called "Perpetuum" or "Perpetuum Online"?

The official name of the game is "Perpetuum". "Perpetuum Online" is the website title.

In what languages is the game available?

The game is currently running in English, German, Russian, Italian, French, Slovenian and Hungarian. Other languages will be added soon after the launch. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to translate the game into other languages.

Questions about subscription

Does the game have a monthly fee?

Yes, 30-day subscriptions are available on our site for €8.95 / $9.95 depending on the region.

Do I have to buy a boxed version of the game to play?

No, the game client is available for download free of charge, you only have to pay the subscription fee.

I would like play the game. What should I do?

First, register for an account here! As soon as your account is ready, you can buy a subscription. Lastly, you will also need to download the game client, and you're all set!

Technical questions

What kind of internet does the game require?

The game will work with a normal 56 kbit modem, but we recommend broadband access.

Does the game work without an Internet access?

No. The world of Perpetuum and all events in it happen on our central server network. Without an Internet connection, the installed client can not access these, hence the game will not work.

What kind of computer do I need to run Perpetuum?
